1. Permits and Invitations:

To legally work in Poland, foreigners need to obtain the appropriate permits or invitations. The main documents allowing employment in Poland include:

1.1 Oświadczenie o powierzeniu wykonywania pracy (Declaration of Employment):

A simplified procedure allowing Ukrainian citizens and those from select countries to work in Poland for up to 24 months without a work permit. The employer registers this invitation at the district labor office. After registration, the employee can apply for a national type D visa.

1.2 Zezwolenie na pracę (Work Permit):

Required for foreigners seeking employment for over 24 months or from countries not covered by the simplified procedure. Among various types of work permits, the most common is type A, issued for those working under an employment contract with a Polish employer. This process typically takes one to two months.

1.3 Zezwolenie na pracę sezonową (Seasonal Work Permit):  

This permit is for seasonal work in agriculture, horticulture, or tourism, valid for up to nine months per calendar year. Employers apply for this permit through the district labor office.

1.4 Zezwolenie typu A (Type A Permit):  

A work permit for foreigners employed under a labor contract with a Polish employer. This process includes preparing the necessary documents, submitting the application, and review by the relevant authorities.

3. Residence Cards and Citizenship:

– Temporary residence card for various purposes (work, family reunification, study) / Karta czasowego pobytu

4. Registration and Payments:

6. Tax Filing:
